Atomic
Blast Theory, Project, 21 Mar – 28 Mar 1998EN / NLPrint

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP TEN FAVOURITE SONGS OF ALL TIME?

WHAT ARE THE SECRETS THAT YOU HAVE NEVER TOLD TO ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING?

BLAST THEORY WANT TO KNOW. AND IN RETURN THEY WILL TELL YOU THEIR OWN ANSWERS.

The installation Atomic - part chat show and part psychological research -brings artists and public face to face. In this era of questionnaires andmarket research, can our identity be deduced from what we buy or answer?During a seven-day exchange, Blast Theory will develop a performance inwhich DJ Shadow and DJ Pulp will meet our most intimate selves:confrontational, difficult, and at times uncomfortable and illusive.

Blast Theory stages live events at theatres, clubs, exhibition spaces andpublic space. Since 1991, Blast Theory have been opposing a mediatisedworld in which popular culture reigns, using video and computers to posequestions about the ideologies present in the information that surroundsus.
